Salary for Resident Advisors
Sincerely, As a resident advisor here on campus, I live in a first-year student dormitory, and I’m responsible for answering students’ questions and helping them adjust to university life. I think that resident advisors like me should be paid a salary for our work. Being a resident advisor is a lot of work; we spend many hours talking with first-year students, organizing activities, and so on, so it seems unfair for us not to be paid for it. I also think a salary would attract more students to apply to work as resident advisors, allowing the university to choose from a greater number of qualified applicants for the position.

False Consensus
Research in psychology has suggested that people often assume that their own attitudes, beliefs, and actions are typical, or at least more common among the general population than they really are. This tendency to assume that the rest of the world thinks and behaves as we do is referred to as false consensus. We falsely believe there is consensus, or agreement, between what we think and feel and what others think and feel. Our assumptions are often incorrect, because we generally overestimate our similarity to the population at large.
Explain how the study discussed by the professor illustrates false consensus.
Task4
Using the professor’s points and examples of the weaverbirds and finches, summarize the lecture about nest building.
