Move-in Schedule
The week before classes begin is typically a hectic and confusing time with everybody moving back into the dormitories again. Currently, students can decide for themselves when to move in during that week, and the result is that many people wind up moving in on the same day, which creates chaos and crowding in the dorms. To make this process more efficient, I think the university should create a schedule that assigns each student a specific day for moving in. This change would allow students assigned to days earlier in the week to volunteer to help students assigned later days to move.
Sincerely,
Mike Santos

Temptation Bundling
People often lack motivation to perform certain beneficial activities that they feel require effort or are unpleasant. As a result, they may avoid them. However, a technique known as temptation bundling has been used successfully by many people to help them get started doing these unpleasant yet beneficial activities. The technique combines or bundles an activity people like with one that they do not enjoy and helps motivate them to build better habits by establishing a reward. Temptation bundling is particularly effective when the pleasant activity is something people want to repeat, since it ensures that they will also repeat the less enjoyable but worthwhile activity.
Explain how each of the two examples from the professor’s lecture illustrates the concept of temptation bundling.
