People sometimes think highly of an individual without actually knowing much about that person.Instead,they may mistakenly think favorably of someone because he or she is associated or connected with other people or organizations they admire.Thinking well of someone for this reason is known as virtue by association.Virtue by association is not a logical way to evaluate others.since someone may hold different views or have a different character than the people or organizations with which he or she is associated.
