At an engineering conference I recently attended, I had the opportunity to try using a 3-D printer for the first time, and I was really impressed. I think the university should consider purchasing one for general student and faculty use. It would be a huge benefit for students studying architecture or engineering, as it would allow them to quickly create three- dimensional objects for their classes. And if it were put in the library, it would be centrally located and easily accessible to all students as well as professors.

Versioning
A company’s pricing strategy has a significant impact on profits. If a product or service is priced high, there may be few buyers, while a low price results in less profit from each sale. One strategy to maximize profits is versioning. With versioning, a company offers slightly different versions of a product or service at different prices. Those who value the product or service more will be willing to pay more to use a more expensive version, and those who value it less may purchase a lower-priced basic version. Versioning works especially well if the company can produce premium versions without spending much more to create them, since it will capture a relatively high profit on those sales.
