Fund Academic Conferences for Students
I have learned that the university’s student activity budget has a large amount of money in it this year. I suggest making some of the money available to help students attend academic conferences. These conferences are a great place for students to present their research or learn about the research of others, so this would be a great educational opportunity. Also, since going to these conferences can be very expensive, many students cannot afford to attend. Getting money from the activity budget would allow students who couldn’t otherwise afford it to go. Sincerely,

Lateral Thinking
Problem solving in the business world is often straightforward since most problems have clear, obvious solutions that come quickly to mind. However, when the usual, obvious solution doesn’t work, putting it aside and finding another way to solve the problem can be difficult. A technique known as lateral thinking can be helpful in this situation. Lateral thinking means approaching a problem from a new, different direction-one that is not the most obvious or central, but less obvious or “lateral,” meaning “from the side.” Such an approach to problem solving can result in unusual but effective solutions.
Using the example from the professor’s lecture, explain the concept of lateral thinking.
Task4
Summarize the lecture. Be sure to explain psychological safety and discuss the professor’s points and examples.
