Network Effect
Certain products or services depend on having a network or a large interconnected group of users. Consequently, the products or services may become more useful or less useful, depending on how many other people in the network are also using them. This phenomenon is known as the network effect. Usually a product or service becomes more useful as the network of people who are using it continues to grow. However, the network effect is not always positive: if the number of users increases beyond a certain point, it could have a disruptive effect on the network, and the product or service may actually become less useful for users.
