Task1:
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
Friends should be able to disagree with each other and still maintain their friendship.
Use details and examples to explain your opinion.
Task2:
Cancel Information Sessions
At the beginning of each year, during new-student orientation, the university holds information sessions to provide students with general information about resources available at the university. l think that these sessions should be canceled. This is because a lot of the information presented during these sessions is not helpful at the beginning of the year. Students tend to forget what they have heard and so are not able to benefit from the information. Additionally, the sessions are unnecessary because all the information presented is available on the university website. The students can access the information when they need it.
Sincerely,
Paul Clark

Task3:
Rational ignorance
When people are planning to make an important purchase, they often spend a great deal of time gathering information about their various options to make the best possible choice. However, when making less important purchases, people may decide that it is not worth gathering information beforehand. This phenomenon is called rational ignorance. If the differences between products seem small or unimportant, people may decide not to learn about them. In other words, people deliberately choose to remain ignorant of the differences because learning about them is not worth the time or energy. The products are so similar that no significant benefit can come from choosing one over another.
Explain how the example from the professor’s lecture illustrates the concept of rational ignorance.
Task4:
